Articling positions

Articling application deadlines are established by the Law Society of Upper Canada. The Hamilton deadline is usually near the beginning of May.

Articling applications should include the following:

  • covering letter
  • résumé
  • a copy of your undergraduate transcript and your law school transcript to date, as well as your graduate transcript, if applicable; and
  • Reference letters, if you wish.

Summer positions

Applications are accepted at any time. Interviews are usually conducted in mid-February.

Summer applications should include the following:

  • covering letter
  • résumé
  • a copy of your undergraduate transcript and your law school transcript to date, as well as your graduate transcript, if applicable; and
  • Reference letters, if you wish.

Associate positions

Applications for associate positions are accepted at any time. Your application should include a résumé, copies of your law school, undergraduate and (if applicable) graduate transcripts, and, if you wish, reference letters.
