Clare Hopkins

“To me the art of law bears many similarities to my personal passion of swing dancing. In law, just as in jazz, you have to be constantly responding to others and improvising. Success in either art form requires a balance of skill and creativity.”

Areas of Practice

A skilled family lawyer who has worked on both sides of the bench.

Before becoming an Assistant Crown Attorney, Clare clerked for judges of the Superior of Court of Justice. This experience working closely with judges, combined with her time as a Crown, serves her well in her family law practice. It’s given her a perspective on the law that many other professionals in private practice lack. This means she can give realistic advice, and help develop strategies most likely to help clients achieve their goals. She is a passionate litigator, whose work on countless courtroom cases has given her the experience to navigate trials with remarkable skill and decisiveness.

In her spare time, Clare is an avid swing dancer. She enjoys practicing her hobby and spending time with friends and family.
