BARRY COOMBS

Toronto-based artist Barry Coombs graduated from the Ontario College of Art and is currently a member of the faculty there, as well as at the Dundas Valley School of Art. He is highly regarded for his work in the watercolour medium and is exhibited widely throughout Ontario and Asia. This painting is an example of his recent work, incorporating architectural elements with abstract form and colour. It was inspired by the contract of ecclesiastical and high rise buildings in the King and James Street area of downtown Hamilton.
