“The law, like a work of art, must be interpreted. It’s a lawyer’s job to ensure the interpretation benefits the client by maximizing opportunities and minimizing negative consequences.” - Marc Ronca

Marc Ronca Associate

As part of the Teal-Savaglio team, Marc Ronca’s day might be spent drafting a shareholder agreement, contributing to a workplace investigation, assisting on a real estate transaction or helping a family with estate planning. The work fulfills both sides of Marc’s personality: the perfectionist who pays attention to the details and the relationship builder who enjoys helping clients achieve their goals.

Relationships are everything.

Prior to law school, Marc spent two years as part of the management team at a national financial institution. While he enjoyed spending his time advising clients on their financial objectives, he wanted to be able to do more to help them achieve their goals. That, he says, is why he became a solicitor.

Marc’s approach is to listen more than he talks. “I grew up in a large family so I quickly learned that the loudest person isn’t always the most effective,” he says. “Listening helps me better ascertain what the client’s needs are and approach the situation based on what I learn.”

Loyalty is one of Marc’s key values. “At Scarfone Hawkins I know I’m putting my skills to good use, whether it’s helping a family, a small business or a larger corporation,” he says. “We’re developing life-long business relationships. That’s very gratifying.”

"Q: Words to live by."

− A: “’Those that fail to plan, plan to fail.’ As a solicitor, you want to anticipate and eliminate potential issues so they don’t end up happening. Planning is key.”

"Q: Personal quality that’s served you well."

− A: “I’m a perfectionist and I like to be in situations where that’s an asset.”
