“The art of law doesn’t mean knowing every code or piece of legislation. There’s a good deal of strategy involved, which makes it more of an art, thinking through cases both deductively and inductively.” - Alexandria Palazzo

Alexandria Palazzo Associate

Alexandria planned to become a lawyer for as long as she could remember. She has made her dreams a reality through diligence, discernment, and a team-oriented approach.

Managing her clients’ expectations and emotions with grace.

Alexandria takes a pragmatic approach to managing her clients’ expectations. She is a good judge of character and can quickly get a feel for her clients. Empathy helps her be transparent and temper their expectations, which can be challenging when dealing with family law matters. “I tell my clients there’s no winning or losing right off the bat. Removing that mindset, compartmentalizing, and compromising is what moves the process forward.”

As a member of the Thompson, Moloci, Stanton, Yamashita group, Alexandria works on various civil litigation cases, including divorce, child custody, and asset and property division. “In family law, you are seeing people at their worst and witnessing a breakdown in a family unit. The best moments are when I’m able to ground my clients and take the emotion out of it,” Alexandria says. It certainly helps that she’s personable, optimistic, and determined.

A proud Hamiltonian, Alexandria attended McMaster University and received her undergraduate degree in 2013. She then attended the University of Maine for two years. She was invited to speak at a conference at the University of Windsor, and after a conversation with the Dean, was inspired to transfer. With no exception, Alexandria made it happen, and successfully graduated two years later with her J.D. degree. Eager to give back to her hometown, Alexandria articled and worked at a small firm in Hamilton, where she gained ample experience before starting at Scarfone Hawkins.

Alexandria has a great rapport with her colleagues and others in the legal community. As a member of the Hamilton Law Association, she networks with other lawyers, builds relationships, and as a result, can resolve things amicably when it comes to the courtroom.
