Gunta Straumanis

Artist Gunta Straumanis adopts a different approach to painting rural and urban scenes. When painting rural landscapes she dives into painting, with colour being particularly important. In painting urban landscapes, she plans and makes preliminary sketches on site. Shapes and relationships are more important. Gunta studied art at the Dundas Valley School of Art. Her work is now featured in many private and corporate collections.
