A lawyer with his eye on the prize

Alexander brings that same dogged determination to his legal work at Scarfone Hawkins. As part of the Speranzini, Mahler, Iampietro, Rosati group focusing on corporate & commercial law, Alex is committed to building lasting relationships with his clients.

He enjoys engaging in a wide range of matters as part of the corporate/commercial group, from incorporating businesses and drafting shareholder agreements, to engaging in banking and secured transactions, commercial leasing and estate planning. Whatever he’s focused on, Alex is determined to provide legal support for the long term. With a focus on setting and managing client expectations, he prides himself on taking a practical, realistic approach to his files.

“I’ve learned the importance of treating clients with the respect and attention they deserve while also understanding each client’s individual needs and preferences. I could be working on a similar project for two different clients, and they could each want a different degree of personal contact and level of detail. Understanding what those needs look like – and ensuring they are met – is the key to building and maintaining successful client relationships.”

" Q: A personal quality that has served you well"

− A: “Being very thorough. My work often involves complex agreements. It's my job to simplify the language for clients so they have a clear understanding of what they are agreeing to.”

" Q: Top tip for clients"

− A: To be proactive, rather than reactive. Often clients don't think about the legal side of things until a problem has occurred. If you can seek out legal advice before you need to act on it, it can save you a lot of time and money in the long run.

" Q: Most important life lesson"

− A: “Hard work pays off. Growing up, I was taught the importance of having a strong work ethic. If you put in the work and have a positive attitude, those two qualities will carry you far in life.”
