“My passion for the art of law is grounded in a desire to help people.During my undergraduate degree, I worked as a camp counsellor for underprivileged kids. Witnessing the struggle that the children and families were going through, sparked my desire to practice Family Law…now, I am able to help to put my experience to practice by reuniting families, and fighting for my clients to meet their respective goals.“ - Avery Tiplady

Connecting With Clients to Find the Right Solutions

Avery believes that deep understanding of client needs and perspectives is essential to practicing Family Law effectively. This means taking the time to listen, and considering the unique circumstances that brought every client to his door. Avery is prepared to handle all avenues of Family Law whether that requires alternative dispute resolution such as mediation or arbitration, or litigation if necessary.

Although Avery is a relatively recent call to the bar, he has already gained notable experience as a litigator. Avery articled and practiced at a notable downtown Vancouver Family Law firm, which allowed him to experience various high-networth complex family law matters. Avery’s greatest career highlight thus far was being first chair for a 10-day family law trial on various complex issues, in the British Columbia Supreme Court. Furthermore, Avery was recently involved in a high networth parental alienation case that ended in a favourable result for his client, and saw the judicial decision published in CanLii (S.T.M. v. C.G.H., 2022 BCPC 302)
